Many people might know about the plex media player. Plex runs on Windows 7 OS version and later, OS X and later, Linux, and several other operating systems. On online video side, social media center Boxee is a clear competitor, but for some reason I found Plex’s user interface a lot more calmer and fitted better to my living ’ve tried configuring plex numerous times and i don’t see any errors, but it never shows up in states or set state list of devices. iTunes music files are all supported which has been my issue with other media centers expect FrontRow. Note: It is recommended that Plex Media Server be placed on a static IP address or have a reserved IP address for stability purposes. Also change the port if the port is on a non standard port number. Enter in the Plex Media Server IP address or Hostname.
